GUMDROP Rules:

1. Follow Directions The First Time They Are Given

2. Positive Words Spoken If Not Give 2 POSITIVES

3. Keep Your Hands To Yourself

4. Be Respectful To Others And Yourself

5. Be Respectful Of The Building

1. Verbal Warning

a. First, acknowledge child.

b. Second, the behavior, if negative words toward another, child must give 2 POSITIVES to the other person.

2. Behavior Reflection (1st Mark on Chart)

a. First, acknowledge child.

b. Second, the behavior.

3. Behavior Reflection & 5 Minute Timeout (2nd Mark on Chart)

a. First, acknowledge child.

b. Second, the behavior. Discuss causes of behavior and speak out truths about who they are then create a plan (Root to Fruit).

c. Third, five-minute time out.

4. Removal From Activity & Meet With Director (3rd Mark on Chart)

a. First, acknowledge child.

b. Second, the behavior.

c. Third, bring to director for further conversation and action plan and/or program dismissal.
