Prayer
We know that God listens to our prayer, and as you and your team get ready to come to GUM, we encourage you to pray for your own spirit, for your teammates, and the neighbors you will be interacting with. We have some prompts below to help get you started!
Prayers for Yourself:
Ask God to prepare your heart for what He wants to do in you during your trip.
Ask God to help you see the world through His eyes.
Pray that your time at GUM would bring you a greater understanding of who God is and what He desires.
Ask God for readiness. Pray that you would not be distracted during the trip but would be fully present.
Prayers for Your Teammates:
Pray that during the trip, new friendships would grow as you work together.
Ask God to help unify your team, overcome conflict and grow spiritually.
Pray that the eyes of your team would be opened to what God wants to show them during the trip.
Prayers for our Neighbors:
Ask God to prepare the hearts and minds of neighbors you will be interacting with.
Pray that the kids you work with will understand the lessons you teach. Pray that they would learn more about who God says they are.
Ask God to guide your conversations with neighbors to glorify Him.
